It is officially fall and October! Cooler weather has finally arrived and so has the time for warm drinks to sip on when it's cold. This Spiced Apple Cider is one of my favorite fall drinks to warm up to on a cold day! It is so delicious and it is super easy to make!

Syrup Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 TBSP of flour
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 TSP vanilla
  • 1/2 TSP Cinnamon
First you are going to warm up your Apple Cider (I used Musselman's Apple Cider Juice) by pouring it into a small pot and heating it on medium heat. This shouldn't come to a boil. I measured the cider with a mug and placed two mug fulls into the pot because I was making two servings.

While that is warming up you are going to start making the syrup. This will make a lot of extra syrup so you can keep it in your fridge to use again. In another sauce pan you are going to mix together the sugar, brown sugar, flour, Cinnamon, and water. Then  place it on medium heat and bring to a boil. You are going to want to heat this and continually stir until it has a syrupy consistency. When it starts to thicken, take it off the heat and then stir in the vanilla. Then you are done with the syrup.

Once your apple cider is heated up just pour it into your mug and add in around 3 tablespoons of the syrup (more or less to taste. Now you can enjoy a nice warm dring on a cool fall day! Enjoy!
