For me winter and fall are the season for chapped lips. This easy lip scrub helps minimize chapped lips and not to mention it tastes delicious! You only need a few ingredients and it only takes a couple minutes to make.
What you will need:
- Bowl for Mixing
- about 3 TBSP of White Granulated Sugar
- 1 and 1/2 TBSP of Safflower Oil
- Extracts, any flavor
- Food coloring
- Small Container for Storage
I purchased my small container from Hobby Lobby for $1. I chose to mix to flavors of extracts so I used Coconut and Raspberry and it turned out so good!!
You can essentially use any oil you want like: Olive Oil, Walnut Oil, ect. I used Safflower Oil because it doesn't have any taste and it takes on the flavor of whatever you mix with it. For food coloring, I used a few drops of red to make a pink color.
First you are going to take about 3 TBSP of sugar and mix with about 1 and 1/2 TBSP of Oil. You can add more or less oil depending on the consistency of the scrub you prefer.
It should look something like this. Once you get your desired consistency, add in a few drops of your extract, mix and then add a couple drops of food coloring.
Then just place it inside your small container and it is ready to use!
To use: Get a small amount on your finger and rub in a circular motion on your top and bottom lip, then lick it off and apply chap stick or a lipstick!
