Mug cakes have to be one of the best inventions, they are so quick and taste so good! You can get your craving for a cake without having to bake an entire cake or whole batch of cupcakes. This Frangipane Mug Cake is very moist and flavorful. It has a strong almond flavor mixed with the flavor of a really good vanilla cake.
What you will need:
1 slice of butter
1 egg
4 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons of light cream or milk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
6 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon Amaretto (or other liqueur) - I used Malibu Coconut Rum because I didn't have any Amaretto and it tasted really good in it, but I think the Amaretto would be even better!
Directions:
1. Melt the butter in the mug in the microwave for about 20 seconds
2. Mix in one by one the sugar, egg, vanilla, cream/milk, almond extract, flour, liqueur, and baking powder.
3. Once mixed cook in the microwave for about 1 minute 20 seconds (more or less depending on microwave)
Glaze:
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
2 teaspoons of milk
1/4 teaspoon of almond extract
