So last year for New Years I posted a similar post to this one. What a better way to ring in the new year than by making a vision board. Put your dreams and goals all in one place so you can look at it everyday and take steps to work toward your goals! I love this idea and I'm very glad I started doing it! This year my friends had a little vision board party that I went to. We made our boards and then shared them letting everyone know our dreams and goals for 2016. Now there is a group that can push you and hold you accountable for your goals. They did this last year as well so before we made ours for 2016 they shared their last year boards and how successful they were at obtaining their goals! I think this is such a cool idea and it's also a lot of fun! So go grab your friends, some food, and drinks and get working on your own 2016 vision board, :)

Mug cakes have to be one of the best inventions, they are so quick and taste so good! You can get your craving for a cake without having to bake an entire cake or whole batch of cupcakes. This Frangipane Mug Cake is very moist and flavorful. It has a strong almond flavor mixed with the flavor of a really good vanilla cake.

Hey guys! I'm so excited for today's DIY. To kick start the summer season I thought it would be a lot of fun to make some bikinis for a lot less than  you can buy them for. Recently I have been looking for some new bikinis for the summer and I have found so many that I love but they are all so expensive. I thought it would be fun to recreate some of them for A LOT less! All of these only cost me $5.00 to make, which is insanely cheap! This DIY is a little bit different than the others I have posted on this blog because I have created a YouTube channel! I thought it would be really fun to make videos that can go along with my blog because I feel like sometimes it's easier to follow when you can watch a video. So for this DIY I filmed two of the swimsuits and then did one of them in pictures for the blog. I have the video linked down below so you can see how I created the other two swimsuits.

You will need fabric and also some felt to be used as the inside liner. I just used black felt for both bags.

To start, measure out your fabric to your zipper and cut a large square of you fabric and felt. Then cut out two small strips of the fabric and glue it onto the ends of the zipper to create a cleaner neater look when it is all finished.


Next, take your fabric and iron a flap down. This will make it easier when attaching the top of the fabric to the zipper.


Then glue the felt to the back side of the zipper. It is very important to make sure you are doing this on the back size of the zipper because the felt is going to be on the inside of the bag when it is all finished. I attached this using glue because it made it really easy but you could also use a sewing machine to do this.


After you glue the felt, flip it over and glue the fabric to the zipper on the front side. By ironing the flap down you will hide the edge of the fabric so there won't be any fraying and it will look like a clean edge.
