How to Repair Dry, Chapped Lips
1/16/2015
1. Lip Scrub
Lip Scrub is really nice to use before applying a lipstick and also before applying a lip treatment. It removes all the dead skin from the surface of your lips. I tend to use this in the morning if I am going to be applying a lipstick that way the lipstick has a smooth surface and will look nicer. If I am not going to wear a lipstick I will usually skip that step and use the scrub at night before I apply my lip treatment. The lip scrub pictured above is one I made and you can see how on my DIY Lip Scrub Post. Another scrub I would recommend would be the lush lip scrub!
2. Don't lick your lips. The saliva dries out the skin on your lips making them even more chapped, so do your best to not lick your lips!
3. Coconut oil
I love coconut oil for many different reasons and for many different things! It is so moisturizing and lately I have been using it on my lips to help give them some extra moisture! When my lips are really dry some nights after using my lip scrub I will apply this to my lips right before I go to bed. When I wake up my lips still feel really moisturized and they are less dry and chapped!
4. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy
If there has been one product that has helped me get rid of my chapped lips, it would be this one! This is the best lip treatment I have ever tried! I have been using for about 3 weeks now and I have already noticed a complete difference. My lips were extremely chapped and now they are finally getting back to normal and not chapped at all. If you are looking for a product to help moisturize and repair your chapped lips then I would definitely recommend trying out this product. You can purchase it as Sephora for $12.
